Looking To The Future

On the 21st May, Sellars at Newbridge hosted a group of 2nd Year Agricultural students from the SRUC Edinburgh campus.  The students were looking forward to spending some time with real machines, having sat through many hours of theory and lectures. Hosting the visit were Nick Constable of Sellars and Russell Clarke of CLAAS UK, with help from Jamie Ledgerwood in setting up.

The 21 students were given guided tours of CLAAS combines, ROLLANT balers, DISCO mowers and LINER rakes, looking at the practical aspects of setting up and using these machines.  Russell gave an overview of the equipment, and a good question and answer session from all the students kept Nick and Russell on their toes.  At the end of their morning visit both the students and lecturers felt they had truly benefited from their CLAAS experience. Looking to the future Sellars hope to build on their relationship with the SRUC and further strengthen ties with the students and staff alike.
